How to listen to BRIDGEfm Hospital Radio

We broadcast on FM, the bedside radios in the wards, on-line and part time on Digital Radio.

You can listen on 87.7fm at Ninewells Hospital and the Royal Victoria Hospital. The service is also available on selected bedside radios around the wards.

We are available on DAB radio across Dundee and Perth on the Access Channel and can be heard Monday to Friday 12-2pm and Sunday to Thursday 6pm-12am.

BRIDGEfm can also be heard live on-line and on smartphones and tablets.  You can download the apps for Android and Apple devices.

Short-term Restricted Service Licences (RSL)

From time-to-time, and usually to mark Hospital Broadcasting Week, BRIDGEfm Hospital Radio has been generally granted permission to increase the power of our FM transmissions giving everyone in the local area a unique chance to hear hospital radio without having to be in hospital!

To hear the best variety of music, chat and specialist programmes throughout the day and a special Request Programme from and for the patients each night from 7pm, tune to 87.7fm on your normal radio during our next RSL broadcast.

The Hospital Broadcasting Association is the national charity that supports and promotes Hospital Broadcasting in the UK. Hospital Broadcasting Week takes place annually to help promote the work of Hospital Broadcasting services across the UK. Click to visit the HBA website.

RSL Programme Sponsors

There are substantial costs involved in running our week of special programmes. If you or your company would like to be linked with this local charity then we are offering you the chance to sponsor one or more of our special programmes.

Listeners throughout Dundee and North Fife will be able to hear that you are supporting us and when our programmes are also broadcast on DAB Digital Radio our potential audience rises to 430,000!

Other FM licences

The Tayside Hospital Broadcasting Group also holds three long-term RSL (low-powered FM) licences for our transmitters at Ninewells Hospital (Dundee) and Royal Victoria Hospital (Dundee).  Ashludie Hospital transmissions closed on 19th September 2012 due to the site closure.

Ofcom (Office of Communications) is the independent regulator and competition authority for the UK communications industries. They are responsible for the issuing of our short-term RSL and LPFM licences.
